Fight against Dengue

Sivakasi Municipality carried out an awareness campaign and preventive measures for Dengue fever in Sivakasi limits. A team of 7 municipality members spraying against mosquito in all the streets of the town and they are monitored for spray schedules by the Municipality Officials. After spraying they get signature from any members of the street. And they also provide temephos solutions to all the Sivakasi residents. One of the official said that, adding up temephos solution to the water container or standing water in the house will reduce and kills mosquito breeds in order to reduce the population of dengue carrying mosquitoes. Fight against Dengue is a welcome move by the Municipality of Sivakasi.
