Sivakasi is Powerless

Sivakasi continued to reel under long hours of power cuts for the last two months and the situation is likely to remain so in the coming days. For the last three days, power cuts in Sivakasi have lasted for nearly 18 hours or more a day. For last one week areas like Palaniandavarpuram Colony, Solai Colony, Periyakaruppa Nadar Colony, Velayutha Rastha Road, Vishwanatham did not have power supply for nearly 10 hours (continuously) during day time, apart from load shedding at night.

The unscheduled power cuts worsen the situation more, in Sivakasi. Most of the industries and offices did not function for last three days. Sivakasians had no clue when supply would be cut off or restored. If the situation continues, Power Cut Giant will swallow Sivakasi within a month. No power hurts whole Tamilnadu, except Chennai.
