Beware of Chain snatchers in Sivakasi

For last few years jewellery theft cases on the rise in Sivakasi. Jewellery thefts are on abnormal rise in Sivakasi town. Criminals are targeting lone women for jewellery theft. Last week, 7 sovereigns gold was stolen from a married women near Solai Colony. The thieves used bikes to escape after snatching gold chains from the married women. Sivakasians are asked to inform the police when they go out of town so that they can keep an eye on their houses during routine patrols and by beat constables. Sivakasi women, beware, Chain snatchers on the prowl.
