Northeast Monsoon Rain in Sivakasi

The break over of much awaited North East Monsoon Rainfall brings relief. And it is forecast that it would bring in more rainfall than usual. Today Sivakasi received rains, accompanied by thunder, lightning and strong wind, lashed the town for about half an hour (from 5:50 p.m. to 6:20 p.m.). The weather continue to stay pleasantly humid and the sky remain cloudy for the last few days. The water-level in the Water Reservoir has been rising and it brings smile in the face of Sivakasians. Sivakasi town and its fringes are expected to receive showers during the next 2-3 days. Sivakasi may experience a maximum temperature of 35 degree Celsius, which is slightly below normal.
