Dengue prevention measures by Sivakasi Municipality

Sivakasi Municipality has appealed to Sivakasians to extend their cooperation to the dengue prevention steps taken by the civic body by preventing stagnation of water in open containers. Dr.V.K.Kathiravan, Chairman, Sivakasi Municipality, said Sivakasi residents should ensure that there was no open container filled with water such as broken plastic pots, Aatural, Thotti and Coconut shells to prevent breeding of mosquitoes. Drinking water overhead tanks should be cleaned once every two weeks using bleaching powder. Notices also distributed to Sivakasians.
