A conference on "Recent trends in biological science" was organised by the Department of Microbiology, Ayya Nadar Janaki Ammal College, Sivakasi, on December 22. Olga. L. Sharko, Senior Research Scientist, Minsk, Republic of Belarus, in her lecture on ‘Bioconjugation and its applications,’ focused on the application of protein, lipid and glycolipid conjugates in immune-diagnosis. The conference was inaugurated by V. Ayyan Kodiswaran, correspondent. V. Pandiyarajan, Principal, presided over the inaugural session. Research scholars and students from 40 research institutes, universities and colleges from across the country presented their research papers.
