Sivakasi reel under scorching heat

The scorching heat right from the early hours of morning, from last Friday sapped the energy of the Sivakasians. Petty vendors, sales representatives, office and factory goers, motorists, and pedestrians bore the brunt of the sun. Handkerchiefs, umbrellas, and just anything came in handy for motorists and pedestrians to protect themselves from the sun. The maximum temperature recorded during the day was 39 degree celsius. There would be no significant fall in temperatures during the next few days.
