2011 Karthigai celebration in Sivakasi

Karthigai was celebrated on 8th of December 2011. Majority of the Sivakasians home were decorated with colour deepam kolams. For afternoon lunch Sivakasians prepared 27 varieties of side dishes, some with 18 and 21 varieties.

Thirukarthigais delicious snacks Kadalai urundai were prepared and eaten by Sivakasians. Shared those snacks with the neighbours. At evening deepams were lighten in front of the houses and offices. Kids enjoyed firing crackers.
