Heavy rain lashes Sivakasi

Sivakasi Corporation witnessed heavy rainfall on Thursday, November 25, bringing many areas to a standstill. The District Collector has declared a holiday for schools and colleges, on 26th November 2021, Friday. However some schools in Sivakasi conducted online classes. An orange alert has been issued for the region (Virudhunagar District) and further rains are expected. The rains are expected to continue in these places on November 28 and 29, with heavy to very heavy rainfall predicted. Sivakasi town received non stop rainfall from 03:30 p.m. to 08:30 p.m.. Earlier on 25th November Sivakasi town received moderate rainfall for around 30 minutes. For the next one week sky will be cloudy with high possibilities for rain with average maximum and minimum temperature of 28 and 23 degree celsius respectively.
