Free Eye Camp in sivakasi

Sivakasi Sri Sathya Sai Sevaa Samidhi and Madurai Aravind Eye Hospital jointly organised free eye camp in Sivakasi on 4th March 2012, at SHNV Boys Higher Seondary School, Sivakasi. A team was headed by five Doctors and 30 staff nurse from Aravind Hospital, for the camp. Around 60 volunteers from Sivakasi Sri Sathya Sai Sevaa Samidhi supported and organised the camp, in a systematic manner. The materials for eye check up were placed in more than 10 rooms. 285 people got free eye check up by this camp. Out of 285, 65 were selected for free cataract operation, that is going to be held in Aravind Hospital, Madurai. Opticals shops were placed in the school. Opticals were sold out at nominal rates. Tea and lunch were provided.
