About the E-Pledge
In December 2014, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution declaring 15th July as World Youth Skills Day. The goal is to achieve better socio-economic conditions for today's youth as a means of addressing the challenges of unemployment and under employment. The current relevance of global skills is underpinned by international economic competition, advances in technology, and greater diversity and mobility, all resulting from a more globalized world. Increasingly, people recognize that global skills are crucial for their success in the workplace and society at large.
