Maha Kumbabishekam held at Badrakaliamman Kovil

Thousands of devotees witnessed the Maha Kumbabishekam (consecration) of Sivakasi Badrakaliamman Temple, on 1st Februaru 2023, Wednesday. Holy water was poured on the Kovil kalasams atop the rajagopuram and other towers amid chanting of hymns and mantras. Special pujas were performed from the morning. The holy water was sprinkled on devotees immediately after the kumbabishekam through drones from 09:40 to 10:00 a.m.. The temple and campus were decked with pandhals, colour papers and festoons. Annadhaanam has been done throughtout the day. Devotees thronged Badrakaliamman Kovil throughout the day. Sivakasians captured Temple photos and Kumbabhisekam moments in their cameras and mobile phones and eagerly took selfie near Rajagopuram. The festival was well organised by Sivakasi Hindu Nadar Mahamai Fund.
