No Electricity Shocks Sivakasians

In Sivakasi, there was frequent power cut from starting of this month. During night time there was power shut down at regular intervals of one hour. There was no power supply for around six hours at night time and 10-11 hours at day time. The unannounced power cut in addition to the scheduled power cut for more than 16 hours a day, has caused severe inconvenience to all sections of the people, including students, small and mid sized businessmen, traders and homemakers, in Sivakasi. Sivakasians stay awake atleast five to six times night to battling against mosquito with no electricity at night times also. The acute shortage of the electricity supply is due to low windmill power generation.

Majority of the small and mid sized business unit promoters in Sivakasi said that they were unable to keep their delivery commitments in time. In Sivakasi, Small and Mid sized business people are unable to withstand the erratic and unscheduled cut in supply of power. No electricity, shocks whole Tamil Nadu except CHENNAI.
